1. The Chinese have technology to convert images to text. This technique just does the reverse, so all they'll have to do is convert them back with an automated process, no?
2. This article says that the servers can be found by the Chinese by having their information indexed. How would we know if we were being censored?

Hi,
what happes if censorship blocks the URL? Sure, it is dezentralisation, but how do chinese people find a picidae page? The censorsship will block the google search results of "picidae". Do these people have to know one server?

Yes, Picidae-ed pages could be scanned too if the chinese government would use OCR. But this would require a LOT of computing power. The current censorship system is already needing more than is available - this is the reason why the RST-system instead of a real firewall is used. OCRing would simply cause too much load, the same probably goes for detection. The scramble-function or similar things will probably be contained in some login-forms too.
This is basically a techdemo an a piece of art, I guess, because many web forms still don't work.

it does not matter if a server is blocked if you use a Picidae proxy that connects to the server.
