I have an better idea. Transer PNG data is heavy & slow traffic, and still could be somehow censored by OCR. The simplest way to bypass keyword censorship is: JSON
example, 'tiananmen' is filtered, but how about javascript 'tia\u006E' + '\x61n' + 'men' ? LOL.
We can add more obfuscation like /xx/.toString(), reverse(), fromCharCode(), etc. Hmm, we will learn from XSS vectors. Even with some HTML content compression algorithm! We can also add Gzip+HTTPS support for picidae!
I think my P.R.C. government will ask Cisco to upgrade their GFW system with a Javascript parser. LOL
picidae will kick ass!

And, PNG webpages is less interactive than actual ones. You can not select text, the Flash is not flashing. I think picidae should transfer data rather than content.
ps. picidae.net is GFW'ed in China, why not setup a TOR site?

I was wondering ... If you access to any proxy using a HTTPS adress, data will be encrypted, and unless the domain name contains "bad keywords", you will get access to any website, isn't it ?
That way, even if I think that generating PNGs is a GREAT idea, Proxy + HTTPS are better than Picidae + HTTP/HTTPS ....

HTTPS costs server & client CPU. JSON will be much 'cheaper'
PNG is expensive.

The for me most beloved thing about picidae, is that it doesn't use an encryption technology but the power that lies within pictures! The contemplation of web pages via picidae may reveal an other digital dimension of images.
Nice Artwork!
